The archieparchial choir sang the responses under the directionship of Diane Fejka. Faithful throughout the archeparchy gathered for the yearly observance. Each year the Marian Moleben is offered beseeching the Mother of God for her assistance in moving this spiritual process towards its final goal of Canonization for Blessed Bishop-Martyr Theodore G. Romzha, Ordinary of Uzhorod; Blessed Bishop-Mary Paul P. Gojdich, O.S.B.M., Ordinary of Presov; Blessed Bishop-Martyr Basil Hopko, auxiliary of Presov; and the Servant of God, Bishop Alexander Chira, Ordinary of Uzhorod. All three hierarch were beatified by Pope John Paul II. Bishop Chira's Cause is still pending for beatification. The canonical process was begun in 1986 when the late Archbishop Stephen J. Kocisko, along with the other bishops of the suffragan eparchies desired to assist the Byzantine Ruthenian Eparchies in their time of turbulent distress, under Soviet Communist aggression, to advance the Causes in their behalf. With the fall of the atheistic regime over a decade ago, the process was then transferred back to Europe under the late Archbishop Judson M. Procyk in the later 1990's. We are continually praying the Glorification Prayer for these Causes. Photographs were taken by Michael J. Vasil, Hermitage.
